Abstract:
[Problem] To provide an overhead wire tension balancer that enables a stroke length thereof to be increased within a set load range by reducing a hysteresis loss of deflection-load characteristics. [Solution] This overhead wire tension balancer is provided with: a plurality of tubular members that are coaxially disposed and that include at least an external tubular member 101 and an internal first intermediate tubular member 102 coaxially disposed with a gap therebetween in a radial direction; an external coil spring 105 that imparts elastic force to movement of the first intermediate tubular member 102 in an axial direction with respect to the external tubular member 101; an external spring washer 102a that supports the external coil spring 105; and a support member 201 that slidably supports the external tubular member 101 and the first intermediate tubular member 102 in the axial direction. The support member 201 rotatably supports a ball 201b, and a part of the ball 201b is projected to the external tubular member 101 side relative to the external spring washer 102a.
