Abstract:
An overload prevention device according to the present invention is incorporated into a crane that has a boom and transports a hoisted load, said overload prevention device being provided with an acquisition unit and a control unit. The acquisition unit acquires an overturning movement, which is a moment that acts on the boom on the basis of the weight of a hoisted load and includes a forward moment and a lateral moment as components. When the forward moment included in the overturning moment is greater than a first threshold, the control unit implements overload prevention control that includes either control to stop the operation of the boom, or control to issue an alarm.
