Title:
OVERTEMPERATURE PROTECTION DEVICE FOR MOTOR
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2013/035185
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
Provided is an overtemperature protection device for a motor applicable to a railway vehicle drive system which operates a plurality of motors in parallel by using one or more inverter devices. The overtemperature protection device is provided with a control device (14) for controlling the operation of an inverter device (10) and a protection device (20) for detecting an overtemperature that may occur in motors (12a, 12b) on the basis of a frequency signal (fs) containing frequency information when the inverter device (10) maintains a constant ratio of voltage to frequency with respect to the motors (12a, 12b) and on the basis of currents (I1, I2) of at least one phase which flow in the motors (12a, 12b), while generating an overtemperature protection signal (Tf) for protecting the motors (12a, 12b) from the overtemperature and outputting the signal to the control device (14).
