Abstract:
Provided is a overturning prevention device, which can be easily installed between the upper surface of a piece of furniture and a ceiling such that the angle at which the damper axis line extends with respect to the vertical direction is inclined in the range of 15° to 25°. The overturning prevention device is equipped with a damper (20), a first base section (31), and a second base section (32). The first base section (31) comprises a first abutting surface (31A) and a first connection part (33). The first base section (31) is installed on the upper surface of a piece of furniture (1). The second base section (32) comprises a second abutting surface (32A) and a second connection part (34). The second base section (32) is installed on a ceiling (C). If the distance from the first abutting surface (31A) to the first connection part (33) is (X), the damper (20) length is (L), and the distance from the second abutting surface (32A) to the second connection part (34) is (Y), the relationship (X)+(L)sin15° ≤ (Y) ≤ (X)+(L)sin25° holds.
