Abstract:
Provided is an overturning prevention device which can be mounted regardless of a place where an article such as furniture is installed, and prevents the article from overturning, for example, due to shaking of an earthquake.
An overturning prevention device (20) is provided with a plurality of dampers (30A) mounted between the upper surface (10A) of furniture (10) installed on a floor surface (F) and a ceiling (C). The dampers (30A) are compressive dampers having smaller damping force generated in an extension movement than damping force generated in a contraction movement. In the state of being mounted between the upper surface (10A) of the furniture (10) and the ceiling (C), the axes extending from the ceiling (C) side to the upper surface (10A) side of the furniture (10) of these dampers (30A) are inclined downward and extend in a plurality of directions in plan view, viewed from above.
