Title:
OXIDE SUPERCONDUCTING WIRE HAVING REINFORCING MATERIALS
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2013/153973
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
Provided is an oxide superconducting wire having a reinforcing material, in which occurrence of faults such as peeling of the reinforcing material due to a decrease in the strength of edge parts is sufficiently minimized, defects such as peeling of the reinforcing material are also prevented from happening when a force in the thickness direction is applied, and stable superconducting characteristics can be maintained. An oxide superconducting wire having a reinforcing material, in which: two pieces of the reinforcing material are arranged so as to sandwich the oxide superconducting wire; the reinforcing material are pasted onto the oxide superconducting wire using solder; the width of each piece of reinforcing material is equal to or less than that of the oxide superconducting wire; or at least a surface of the oxide superconducting wire facing the reinforcing material is covered by copper, nickel, or an alloy containing copper and/or nickel.
