Abstract:
The present invention addresses the problem of providing: an oxygen-absorbing compound which has oxygen-absorbing properties and generates a reduced amount of odor; and an oxygen-absorbing adhesive composition and a coating agent composition each produced using the oxygen-absorbing compound. The oxygen-absorbing adhesive composition is used as an adhesive composition for forming an adhesive layer in a laminate for a packaging material, generates a reduced amount of odor, absorbs oxygen in a packaging bag or a packaging container to prevent the deterioration of a content in the packaging bag or the packaging container, and has an excellent balance among adhesion strength, the amount of generated odor and oxygen absorption properties. The oxygen-absorbing coating agent composition is used as a coating agent composition for forming a coating layer for the surface of a laminate for a packaging material, generates a reduced amount of odor, absorbs oxygen penetrating through the laminate or oxygen in a packaging bag or a packaging container to prevent the deterioration of the coating layer or another constituent layer in the laminate or the deterioration of a content in the packaging bag or the packaging container due to the oxygen, and has an excellent balance among blocking resistance, the amount of generated odor and oxygen absorbing properties. The oxygen-absorbing compound has one or more unsaturated 5-membered rings, in which any one of bonds among bonds between five carbon atoms constituting each of the unsaturated 5-membered rings is a carbon-carbon double bond, an electron-donating organic group 1 having a valency of 1 and/or 2 or more is bound to the unsaturated 5-membered rings, the 5-membered ring or the organic group 1 has a functional group having active hydrogen or a group having such a structure that active hydrogen in a functional group having active hydrogen is substituted by a monovalent organic group 2 when the number of the unsaturated 5-membered ring is 1, and the unsaturated 5-membered rings are bound to each other through an organic group 2 having a valency of 2 or more that substitutes for active hydrogen in an active hydrogen group on each of the 5-membered rings or the organic group 1 when the number of the unsaturated 5-membered rings is 2 or more.
