Abstract:
A poly(trimethylene terephthlate) filament yarn, which comprises 0.5 to 4.0 mass % of a fiber elongation improver particles being drawn and oriented in the longitudinal direction in the filament, having a heat distortion temperature of not lower than 40&ring C and lower than 105&ring C, having, in the cross section of the filament, an average particle diameter (D) of 0.03 to 0.35 μm, and exhibiting a ratio (L&sol D) of an average particle length (L) in the longitudinal direction of the filament to the above average particle diameter (D) of 2 to 20. The filament yarn exhibits an increase percentage for a residual elongation of 30 % or more, which results from the presence of the fiber elongation improver, a double refractive index (&Dgr n) of 0.02 to 0.07, a residual elongation of 60 to 250 % and a peak value of thermal stress of 0.18 cN&sol dtex or less, and thus can be produced by a high speed spinning and exhibits a high residual elongation and excellent draw twisting processability.
