Abstract:
A delivery box (1) for containing a package to be delivered from a sender (20) to a recipient (0). The box (1) has a communication control section (16) for receiving a first unlocking signal which is transmitted from a management server (5) when the management server (5) receives sender telephone member information and recipient telephone number information transmitted from a sender’s portable telephone (2). A lock mechanism section is unlocked so that a package can be placed in the box when the first unlocking signal is received. When the management server receives the same recipient’s portable telephone number information transmitted from a recipient portable telephone (3)as that transmitted from the sender’s portable telephone (2), the management server transmits a second unlocking signal, and the communication control section receives it. When the second unlocking signal is received, the lock mechanism section is unlocked so that the contained package can be taken out.
