Abstract:
The present invention provides a package material for a pouch container with which a pouch container with a beautiful appearance can be suitably manufactured, and a pouch container manufacturing method. The package material is provided with a pair of outer wrapping films (1) that are positioned opposite each other and each of which has a bottom edge (11), a top edge (12), and a first side edge (13) and a second side edge (14) connecting the bottom edge (11) with the top edge (12). The package material comprises: a first side seal section (16) in which the pair of outer wrapping films (1) is bonded to each other along the first side edges (13); a second side seal section (171) in which the pair of outer wrapping films (1) is bonded to each other along the portions of the second side edges (14) that are closer to the bottom edges (11); a side opening section (170), which is formed by the portions of the second side edges (14) that are not bonded; and a top opening section (180), which is formed by the top edges (12). The top edge (12) is sloped with respect to the bottom edge (11) so that the distance from the bottom edge (11) increases closer to the second side edge (14).
