Abstract:
A packaging assistance device according to an embodiment comprises an acquisition unit, a determination unit, and a display unit. The acquisition unit acquires, for each group including one or more articles to be shipped to the same destination, article information pertaining to the articles. The determination unit determines, on the basis of the article information acquired by the acquisition unit, a packaging material, from among a plurality of packaging materials having different accommodation spaces, for stuffing the articles included in the group, and a method of stuffing the articles including an order in which the articles included in the group are to be stuffed in the packaging material. The display unit displays information indicating the packaging material and the stuffing method determined by the determination unit.
