Abstract:
A packet capture device is provided with: a packet reception unit (12) that receives a packet from a network; a packet holding unit (13) that stores the received packet in a memory and temporarily holds the packet; a failure detection unit (14) that determines whether or not communication failure is occurring in the network on the basis of information of the received packet; a capture control unit (16) that, when the communication failure is detected, decides an operation stop address such that holding of the packet in a period before and after the detection time point of the communication failure is ensured; and a capture data generation unit (18) that, when a storage destination address of the packet in the memory reaches the operation stop address, or when a prescribed waiting time or more elapses from the detection time point of the communication failure, outputs the packet stored in the memory as capture data.
