Abstract:
A packet transmission device includes: an audio encoding section (1) for audio-encoding an audio band signal; a packet generation section (2) for inputting the encoded audio signal from the audio encoding section (1) and generating its packet; a redundant packet generation section (3) for inputting the encoded audio signal from the audio encoding section (1) and generating a redundant packet; a selector (5) for selecting the packet generation section (2) or the redundant packet generation section (3) as an output source for the transmission path (destination); and a facsimile signal detection section (4) for detecting whether the audio band signal is a facsimile signal of the facsimile communication which is a predetermined data communication and controlling the selection destination of the selector (5) according to the detection result.
