Abstract:
Provided is a packing method for stacked paper bundles that makes it possible to reduce the transportation costs associated with stacked paper bundles and to achieve a reduction in the amount of storage space that is used in a warehouse or the like. First, a worker arranges three bundles of paper towels (10) side by side within a packaging member (20). A commercially available polyethylene bag is used as the packaging member (20). Next, a vacuum device is used to suck air from within the packaging member (20) until the thickness of the paper towels (10) is reduced by approximately half. As a result, a vacuum package (100) in which the three bundles of paper towels (10) are vacuum packed is obtained. Next, a plurality of the vacuum packages (100) are packed into a cardboard box (200). Due to the fact that a commercially available bag is used as the packaging member (20), the vacuum packages (100) expand slightly during the hours following vacuum packing. As a result, the paper towels (10) become densely packed within the cardboard box (200). Finally, the worker seals the cardboard box (200).
