Abstract:
A paging method and device, comprising: a relay user equipment (UE) receiving a first paging message sent by a base station, the first paging message being used for paging at least one remote UE, and the first paging message comprising a first device identification corresponding to the remote UE; obtaining a second device identification of the remote UE according to the first device identification; configuring a paging bit table according to the second device identification of the remote UE; sending a discovery message, the discovery message comprising first bit table indication information indicating the paging bit table so that the remote UE determines whether the remote UE is being paged after receiving the discovery message, and thus the remote UE does not need to wake up periodically to receive paging messages, thereby saving power.
