Abstract:
Provided is a painting robot that can prevent air suction of paint from a nozzle when changing the color of paint or filling with paint, can prevent accelerated wear of a pump, and can satisfactorily remove a dissolved gas from the paint. A painting robot 10 comprises: a paint supply path 105 connected to a paint supply-side of a nozzle head 53; a return flow path 107 that recovers paint not discharged from a nozzle 54; a first filter 90 for removing a foreign substance in the paint; and a second filter 80 for separating a dissolved gas from the paint. If paint is not to be discharged from the nozzle head 53, a control unit 130 opens an opening/closing valve 116 and circulates paint to a bypass flow path 115. The return flow path 107 is connected to a location, of the paint supply path 105, which is at least further to the upstream side than the second filter 80, and paint that has circulated in the bypass flow path 115 flows through the return flow path 107 and is supplied once again to the paint supply path 105, and thereby the paint passes once again through at least the second filter 80.
