Abstract:
Disclosed are a panoramic imaging system and method, the panoramic imaging system comprising: at least two first scale cameras, arranged to synchronously obtain first scale images in real time, the at least two first scale cameras covering a panoramic field of view; at least one second scale camera, arranged to obtain second scale images within the panoramic field of view in synchronisation with the at least two first scale cameras in real time, the resolution of the first scale images being lower than the resolution of the second scale images; an image processing module, arranged to perform stitching on all the first scale images of a current frame to obtain a current frame panoramic reference image, and map all the second scale images of the current frame to corresponding areas in the current frame panoramic reference image to obtain a current frame panoramic image.
