Abstract:
A paper sheet storage device according to one aspect of embodiments has: an accommodating member having a carry-in region into which paper sheets are carried; a storing member which is disposed adjacent to the accommodating member and in which paper sheets are stored; a conveying part which conveys paper sheets into the carry-in region while at least a pair of conveyance belts are in contact with the front/rear surfaces of the paper sheets; and a push-in mechanism which pushes the paper sheets conveyed to the carry-in region into the storing member. In addition, in the paper sheet storage device, the conveying part releases the contact between one side of the conveying belt and the paper sheets when the push-in mechanism pushes in the paper sheets.
