Abstract:
Provided are a paraffin production method and a paraffin production device with which highly pure paraffin can be efficiently produced without troublesome operations such as distillation. A paraffin production device (100) includes a separation/recovery unit (1), and a hydrogenation unit (2). The separation/recovery unit (1) has a separator including silver ions. In the separation/recovery unit (1), a source gas including olefin as a main constituent thereof is brought into contact with the separator to separate impurities and recover olefin from the source gas. The hydrogenation unit (2) obtains highly pure paraffin by bringing the highly pure olefin obtained by the separation/recovery unit (1) into contact with hydrogen in the presence of a catalyst to induce a hydrogenation reaction.
