Abstract:
The invention relates to a device which makes it possible to burn paraffins more efficiently. The device is made up of a semi-rigid volume (1) in which the inner body (2) is apertured in at least fifty percent of the volume thereof; in which the top (3) and the base (4) are open, the latter (4) having two holes (5) and (6); and which is made from pure absorbent cellulose wadding from paper pulp impregnated with paraffins and/or stearin, so that the device is self-supporting on the surface of a block provided with paraffins, which the latter consumes after having been ignited more efficiently due to the fact that the outer surface thereof has greater capillarity. The device according to the invention is intended in particular for the combustion of paraffins, and any alkane having empirical formulation CnH2n+2, wherein n is between eight and forty.
