Abstract:
A parallel mechanism with six degrees of freedom having arc-shaped prismatic pairs in three branches. The mechanism comprises a base (1), a movable platform (2), and three identical kinematic chains arranged in a uniform and radial pattern and mounted between the base (1) and the movable platform (2). Each of the kinematic chains comprises a first arc-shaped connecting rod assembly, a first motor (6), and a support connecting rod (9). One end of the support connecting rod (9) is hinged to the movable platform (2). One end of the first arc-shaped connecting rod assembly is hinged to the support connecting rod (9). The first motor (6) is disposed on the base (1) to drive the first arc-shaped connecting rod assembly to rotate. An arc length of the arc-shaped connecting rod assembly varies during rotation of the first arc-shaped connecting rod assembly.
