Abstract:
Provided is a parameter estimation device for estimating a plurality of parameters to be used for calculating high-resolution data from data aggregated at coarse granularity, the parameter estimation device comprising: a parameter estimation unit that estimates a plurality of parameters, which are unknown variables in a model based on a multivariate Gaussian process, so as to maximize a marginal likelihood on the assumption that actually measured aggregated data is generated from the model, the multivariate Gaussian process representing, by linear mixing, a plurality of latent Gaussian processes for a plurality of types of pieces of aggregated data in a plurality of domains; and a storage unit that stores the plurality of parameters including hyperparameters of a prior distribution for mixing coefficients to be used for the linear mixing.
