Abstract:
A paring knife formed by providing a paring hole in a metal plate. The peripheral edge including a circular arc section (12b) of the paring hole (12) formed in the metal plate (10) has a projection (13). The projection (13) is formed by press working that causes a press work region surrounding the peripheral edge including the circular arc section (12b) to project such that the height of the projection from the metal surface is greater than that of a circular arc section (12a) facing the circular arc section (12b). The tip of the projection (13) is cut in parallel with the metal plate to form an edge (14). The edge is not formed at the circular arc section (12a) that is lower in height than the circular arc section (12b).
