The present invention improves usability by accurately determining, in a diagonal parking mode, a "target parking position" without changing the tilt angle of a camera or an HMI display range, and notifying a driver accordingly. The present invention has: an external recognition means, such as a camera or a sonar, that recognizes the outside; an information holding means that holds information about a parking frame line recognized by the external recognition means; a parking area extraction means that extracts a parking area from the information about the parking frame line; a parking position determination means that determines a target parking position from the parking area; and a path calculation means that calculates a parking path from the present position of a vehicle to the target parking position. In the case where a part of the parking frame line is not recognized by the camera, the target parking position is defined on the basis of a line that connects an end point of the parking frame line on the rear side of the vehicle to a point at which a line virtually extending from the parking frame line on the front side of the vehicle intersects with a virtual line toward the front side of the vehicle from the end point of the parking frame line on the rear side of the vehicle.
