Abstract:
Provided is a particle beam treatment system that has a smaller installation area and is capable of 360°rotation of a nozzle. An accelerator 39 that emits a particle beam having accelerated particles is mounted on a rotation unit 120 that rotates around a treatment subject. The particle beam is guided to the vicinity of the treatment subject by a transport system 85 or a nozzle 193 and is irradiated towards the treatment subject. The rotation unit 120 is a ring shape that has an opening in the center thereof. The accelerator is supported by the rotation unit 120 and orbits the treatment subject in conjunction with the rotation of the rotation unit 120. The nozzle 193 comprises an irradiation port that irradiates the particle beam towards the treatment subject. The irradiation port is arranged inside the opening of the rotation unit 120.
