Title:
PARTICLE DETECTION DEVICE AND PARTICLE DETECTION METHOD
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2017/025996
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
A particle detection device 1 according to an embodiment is provided with a distributor 20 for ionizing an object 3 including an object of detection 2, causing an ionized substance to fly at a speed proportional to the mass thereof by applying a voltage to the same, and extracting the object of detection according to a time of flight based on the speed, a detector 30 for detecting the object of detection dropped from the distributor 20, and an identifier 40 for identifying the object of detection from a detection signal. The detector 30 is provided with a plurality of detection units each including a field-effect transistor using a graphene layer and a plurality of organic probes that are provided in the graphene layers of the plurality of detection units and at least some of which have different bond strengths with the object of detection. The object of detection is identified from a signal pattern based on the intensity differences between the plurality of detection signals resulting from the differences between the bond strengths with the object of detection of the plurality of organic probes.
