Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to provide a particle therapy device capable of suppressing impact of leakage dose. That is, there is provided a particle therapy device comprising: an irradiation nozzle (21) for irradiating, in a predetermined direction, a particle beam (B) exiting an accelerator (1); an irradiation control portion (42) for controlling movement of the irradiation nozzle (21) such that the nozzle sequentially irradiates a prescribed dose of the particle beam (B) to each of a plurality of spots (SP) set in a surface direction (ASS) in a subject being irradiated (TC); and a control portion (4) for on-off controlling exit of the particle beam (B) from the accelerator (1), wherein the irradiation control portion (42) causes the irradiation nozzle (21) to dilution scan the particle beam (B) to a prescribed range (AP) in the subject being irradiated (TC) during a prescribed period of time (PW) from the point (TF) at which exit is switched from on to off or until the particle beam (B) is intercepted.
