Title:
PARTICULATE COMBUSTION CATALYST, PARTICULATE FILTER, AND EXHAUST GAS CLEAN-UP SYSTEM
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO2007043442
Kind Code:
A9
Abstract:
Disclosed is a particulate combustion catalyst which comprises: a carrier composed of a cerium-zirconium composite oxide having a cerium oxide content of 5 to 50% by mass or a carrier composed of a cerium-zirconium composite oxide having the content of an oxide of at least one metal selected from Nd, La, Fe, Y, Pr, Ba, Ca, Mg, Sn and Sr of 1 to 35% by mass and a cerium oxide content of 5 to 50% by mass; and at least one metal selected from Ag, Ru and K or an oxide of the metal and optionally 0.01 to 2% by mass of at least one metal selected from Pt, Pd and Rh supported on the carrier. Also disclosed is a particulate filter. Further disclosed is an exhaust gas clean-up system. Soot can be removed by oxidation at a low temperature without the need of using any expensive noble metal. Further, since the oxidation reaction can proceed only using oxygen, soot can be removed by oxidation at a low temperature regardless of the NOx concentration in exhaust gas. Furthermore, when a small amount of a noble metal is added, the function of removing SOF by oxidation effectively can be improved while maintaining the combustion performance of soot.
