Title:
PARTICULATE WATER ABSORBENT AND PRODUCTION METHOD FOR SAME
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2012/043821
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
[Problem] To provide an absorbent with improved performance in both water absorbency under no pressure and water absorbency against pressure (particularly vertical diffusion absorbency) for absorbent resins, and to provide at low cost an absorbent with high absorption amounts even in diapers and capable of providing an absorber with improved dispersion and liquid permeability and little backflow. [Solution] A particulate water absorbent with a surface cross-linked polyacrylic acid (salt) water absorbent resin as the main component thereof and which includes at least one type of spacer selected from a polycation and a water insoluble microparticle. The particulate water absorbent has a free swell capacity (FSC) of 55-65 [g/g] and a water absorbency against pressure (AAP -4.83kPa) of 20-30 [g/g] and a vertical diffusion absorbency under pressure (VDAUP -4.83 kPa) of 30-80 g.
