Abstract:
In the case where an existing body frame (1) of an existing passenger conveyor is used to install a new passenger conveyor, in order to facilitate maintenance and inspection for a handrail driving device (35), a new body frame (11) of the new passenger conveyor having a larger inclination ($g(u)�2?) than an inclination ($g(u)�1?) of the existing body frame (1) is incorporated into the existing body frame (1), which is installed to obliquely bridge upper and lower floors (F�1?, F�2?) so as to install the handrail driving device (35) above the existing body frame (1) and to prevent the handrail driving device (35) from being covered by the two body frames (1, 11).
