Abstract:
In this passenger conveyor, a plurality of steps (4) are connected by an endless step chain (5). The step chain (5) is wound around step sprockets (6, 7). Each of the steps (4) includes: a step body (21); a first shaft (22) which is provided to the step body (21); a first step roller (23) which is provided to the first shaft (22) and which is guided by a first guide rail (2); a second shaft (24) which is provided to the step body (21) and which is parallel with the first shaft (22); and a second step roller (25) which is provided to the second shaft (24) and which is guided by a second guide rail (3). The first shaft (22) moves along an endless first route (11), and the second shaft (24) moves along an endless second route (12). The second route (12) is arranged on the inner side relative to the first route (11) when viewed along the axis lines respectively of the first shaft (22) and the second shaft (24). The step chain (5) connects the steps (4) by joining the second shafts (24) of the respective steps (4), and is arranged within a range, of each step body (21), in the axial direction of each first shaft (22).
