Abstract:
A passenger state detection device (100), provided with: a correction-parameter-setting unit (30) for setting a correction parameter with respect to a captured image captured by a camera (2) for capturing an image of the interior of a vehicle compartment, the correction parameter being set for each detection item in a passenger state detection process which includes a plurality of detection items, the correction parameter being set using a feature amount in a face part region of the captured image, which corresponds to the face part of a passenger, and/or a feature amount in a structure region of the captured image, which corresponds to a structure in the vehicle compartment; and an image correction unit (40), which corrects the captured image, using the correction parameter set by the correction-parameter-setting unit (30), for each detection item in the passenger state detection process.
