Abstract:
A passive fiber-optical network transport system in the field of fiber-optical transmission technology, includes an optical network signal transport apparatus and an optical line signal transport apparatus; the optical network signal transport apparatus, mapping the received uplink optical signal in PON frame format, which is considered as the client signal, into uplink optical channel data unit ODU signal, converting the ODU signal to uplink signal in optical channel transport unit OTU format, and then transmitting it to the optical line signal transport apparatus through the optical transport network OTN, while the apparatus correspondingly handling with the downlink signal; the optical line signal transport apparatus, converting the uplink signal, which is received from optical transport network OTN and is in optical channel transport unit OTU format, to uplink optical channel data unit ODU signal, de-mapping the ODU signal into uplink optical signal in PON frame format, and then transmitting it to the optical line terminal, while the apparatus correspondingly handling with the downlink signal. The corresponding apparatus and method are also disclosed for transparently transporting the PON frame signal through OTN to realize the end-to-end transmission and termination.
