Title:
PATCH ANTENNA HAVING PROGRAMMABLE FREQUENCY AND POLARIZATION
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2016/165042
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
Disclosed is a patch antenna having a programmable frequency and polarization. The antenna comprises a first metal covering layer, a dielectric layer, a second metal covering layer and four metallized through-holes sequentially provided from top to bottom. The first metal covering layer comprises a feeder line and a radiation patch. The feeder line comprises a microstrip line connected to an external power feeding port. The microstrip line is connected to one side of the radiation patch via a high-resistance line. The radiation patch is a square metal patch. A gap is etched at a position adjacent to the other side of the radiation patch, namely a radiation side, and is parallel to the radiation side. The metallized through-holes are located at two sides of a bending portion of the gap, and two ends thereof are respectively connected to the first metal covering layer and the second metal covering layer. The metallized through-holes are respectively provided with a switch thereon. When one switch is turned on, the first metal covering layer is connected to the second metal covering layer via the metallized through-hole controlled by the switch. The present invention provides a programmable antenna having a simple feeding network structure, a small volume and various operating modes.
