Abstract:

A path searching unit having a message search range narrower than a preamble search range. The unit comprises: a message search range determining section (4) for detecting a maximum correlation path among effective preamble paths detected through the preamble search and determining such a message search range that the maximum correlation path has a predetermined path position; message search sections (5, 6, 7) for detecting an effective message path through message search based on the message search range; and a message demodulation path detecting section (8) for determining a specified number of preferential paths having correlation values in the preamble path as message demodulation paths, adding the aforementioned message path as the message demodulation path, and further adds other nonpreferential paths having significant correlation values as the message demodulation paths if the number of paths is smaller than the number of demodulation resources.
