Abstract:
Disclosed in the embodiments of the present disclosure are a path switching method, and an apparatus, which can be applied to the technical field of communications. The method executed by a terminal device comprises: in response to the execution of path switching to a target node being triggered, determining whether a preset condition is satisfied; and in response to the preset condition being satisfied, sending first indication information to a network device, the first indication information being used for indicating auxiliary information for switching to the target node. Therefore, auxiliary information for switching to a target node is synchronized to a network device, such that a path switching failure is prevented, thereby improving the performance of a communication system.
