Abstract:
A pattern extraction and rule generation device according to an embodiment of the present invention comprises: a database in which are registered in association, for each failure, failure origin information that includes a failure origin location and a failure origin, failure event group information that is generated from occurrence of the failure until recovery from the failure, and a rule ID that is correlated to a rule including a condition part and a conclusion part; and a rule learning control unit that generates all of one or more combinations that can be employed for some of the failure event group information associated with new failures that have newly occurred, extracts, for each failure, a unique pattern that is assessed to be a combination that has occurred least from failure event combinations of new failures and respective failure event combinations of one or more past failures that occurred in the past, and generates a rule in accordance with a corresponding unique pattern each time a new failure occurs.
