Abstract:
[Problem] To provide: a pattern material that is for a plastic molded article and that has heat resistance without compromising design; a patterned plastic molded article having said material compounded therein; and a method for producing a pattern material for a plastic molded article. This pattern material comprises a base material 2 and a colored layer 3 formed on the surface of the base material 2. The base material 2 is made of flaky mica. The colored layer 3 is formed of a coating that at least contains a solvent, a resin, and a pigment 4 which contains, as a main component, a titanium oxide-coated mica that is obtained by coating the surface of flaky mica particles with titanium oxide. The size of the mica is 0.01-20 mm, and the particle size of the titanium oxide-coated mica is 5-200 μm.
