Abstract:
The purpose of the invention is to effectively prevent characteristic steps and depressions in block pavement. A pavement structure comprises: a subbase layer 5 formed on a subgrade 3; a layer of bedding sand 7 formed on the subbase layer 5; a geogrid 9 stretching in two directions that is disposed on the layer of bedding sand 7 and that comprises vertical strands and horizontal strands with lengths determined by the maximum particle diameter of the bedding sand in the layer of bedding sand 7 and nodes of the vertical strands and the horizontal strands; and pavement blocks 11 that are disposed on the geogrid 9. The geogrid nodes have a convex shape and are thicker than the vertical strands and the horizontal strands.
