Abstract:
A pedal device for a vehicle comprises a hollow pedal (11) and a pin (13). The pin (13) passes through a first hole (15a) and a second hole (16a) that are formed in the hollow pedal (11). The first hole (15a) is formed such that the inner diameter thereof is a value corresponding to the outer diameter of the pin (13). The inner surface of the second hole (16a) has a receiving surface (21). The receiving surface (21) is configured so as to receive a reaction force from the pin (13) when a user has pressed the hollow pedal (11), and thereby align, in the vehicle front/rear direction, the location of the rear end of the pin (13) with the location of the rear end of the inner circumferential surface of the first hole (15a). Formed in the interior of the second hole (16a) is a space section (22) that is located further to the front side in the vehicle front/rear direction than the pin (13) passing through the second hole (16a).
