Abstract:
A pedal device that includes a case, a first section positioned inside the case, and a second section positioned outside the case. The pedal device includes: a foot lever that is rotatable relative to the case and has a center of rotation positioned between the first section and the second section; a first sensor that detects the position of the foot lever between a rest position and an end position; and a reaction force member that abuts the foot lever and adds reaction force, while the foot lever is in the middle of rotating from the rest position towards the end position, and is positioned facing an end of the first section on the opposite side to the rotation center side. The pedal device calibrates the change in reaction force and the timing for changing a played sound, on the basis of: first information set on the basis of a foot lever first position at which the reaction force member applies reaction force to the foot lever; and information pertaining to the foot lever position detected by the first sensor.
