A pedal shaft (100) for pedal power meters comprises: a hollow shaft (10) to which a pedal is rotatably attached; a strain gauge (SGX, SSG) attached to the outer peripheral surface of the hollow shaft; and a processing circuit (20) that is disposed in the internal space of the hollow shaft and processes the output from the strain gauge.
