Abstract:
To preserve lumber, it is needed to inject an agent containing active ingredients into the lumber. For the injection, it has been a practice to use the insizing method or the reduced&sol elevated pressure method. Alternatively, an agent containing active ingredients can be easily injected and penetrated deeply within a short period of time at a low cost simply by soaking, punching, spraying or coating, even in case of lumber to which an agent can be hardly injected, by blending the agent containing active ingredients with a penetration aid for lumber prepared by mixing an aromatic hydrocarbon, a terpene hydrocarbon or an organic chlorine compound with an organic sulfur compound, aliphatic ketones, lower alcohols and the like.
