Abstract:
A percussion device intended for deformation of the material being treated comprises a casing (1) with a movable striker (2) mounted inside it. The shank (3) of the striker (2) is mounted inside a power cylinder (6) so that it receives the stroke energy during the forward travel and is capable of being interconnected with the reverse travel drive of the striker (2). The device is further provided with a striker (2) braking unit acting during its non-working travel. The braking unit consists of an annular protrusion (20) in the middle of the striker (2) and of a cavity (17) receiving that protrusion (20) and provided with a braking chamber (21) of a cross-section essentially equal to that of the protrusion (20). The lateral surface either of the braking chamber (21) or of the annular protrusion (20) has a conical form.
