Abstract:
This periphery monitoring device comprises a detection unit and a display control unit. The detection unit detects a pedestrian in the periphery of a vehicle. The display control unit causes a display device inside the vehicle to display the vehicle and a first periphery region of the periphery of the vehicle on the basis of a captured image obtained by an imaging unit imaging the periphery of the vehicle. If an outside-region pedestrian, who is a pedestrian located outside the range of a display region, is detected by the detection unit, the display control unit causes a monitoring device to display a pedestrian notification display notifying the presence of the outside-region pedestrian.
