Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2017/094627
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
A periphery monitoring system (100) that comprises: a person detection unit (34) that detects persons present in the periphery of a shovel; and a control unit (35) that, on the basis of detection results from the person detection unit (34), switches the state of the shovel between a first state and a second state. The first state includes a state in which the movement of the shovel is unrestricted or a state in which warnings have been suspended, and the second state includes a state in which the movement of the shovel is restricted or suspended or a state in which a warning is being outputted. When the state of the shovel has been switched to the second state and then prescribed release conditions have been met, the control unit (35) returns the state of the shovel to the first state. The prescribed release conditions include no detection of persons in the periphery of the shovel and detection of the maintenance of a state in which the shovel is not about to move.
