Abstract:
A permanent magnet manufacturing method comprising a magnetizing step for magnetizing an object to be magnetized, using a magnetizing device comprising: a field unit in which a plurality of magnetizing permanent magnets for generating a magnetic field for the object to be magnetized are arrayed at regular intervals; and a heating unit for heating the object to be magnetized, the heating unit having a heating surface opposing the object to be magnetized in an axial direction of the object to be magnetized. In the magnetizing step, the object to be magnetized is disposed over the field unit and is heated by the heating unit such that the temperature of the object to be magnetized is raised to a temperature greater than or equal to the Curie point of the object to be magnetized and less than the Curie point of the magnetizing permanent magnets, and is then lowered to a temperature less than the Curie point of the object to be magnetized, while the magnetizing magnetic field is applied by the magnetizing permanent magnets to the object to be magnetized.
