Abstract:

A permanent magnet type reluctance dynamo-electric machine comprising a stator having armature windings housed inside slots, and a rotor positioned on the inner side of the stator, provided with a plurality of magnetic barriers by cavities so that magnetic-flux-easy-to-pass portions (d-axis) and magnetic-flux-hard-to-pass portions (q-axis) are formed alternately, and having permanent magnets disposed in cavities, wherein the rotor satisfies the relation, PL/2$g(p)RW¿qave? ≥ 130, where an average wall thickness of a rotor iron core on the rotor radial-direction outside of a cavity disposed in a q-axis direction is W¿qave? [m], peripheral-direction width of a cavity (5) L [m], number of poles P, and radius of the rotor (10) R [m].
