Abstract:
A persistent current switch (41) provided in a superconducting electromagnet device (101) and connected in parallel to a superconducting coil (3) is provided with: a first resistance portion (4c) in which a continuous superconducting wire and a conductor are composed in parallel; a second resistance portion (4a, 4b) composed of a continuous superconducting wire; a first heater (6c) for heating the first resistance portion (4c); and a second heater (6ab) for heating the second resistance portion (4a, 4b). The first resistance portion (4c) and the second resistance portion (4a, 4b) are housed in a cryostat (2). The first resistance portion (4c) and the second resistance portion (4a, 4b) are connected in series. The resistance value of the second resistance portion (4a, 4b) in normal conducting state is greater than the resistance value of the first resistance portion (4c) in normal conducting state.
