Abstract:
Disclosed are a personal authentication method and a personal authentication device. One embodiment: determines whether or not a user's face is positioned inside a first outline displayed on a display and whether or not an identification card is positioned inside a second outline displayed on the display; if the face is positioned inside the first outline and the identification card is positioned inside the second outline, obtains an image by capturing the image of the face and the identification card; extracts a first partial image corresponding to the identification card from the obtained image, and confirms the authenticity of the identification card on the basis of the extracted first partial image; extracts a second partial image corresponding to the face from the obtained image, and extracts a face image from the extracted first partial image; determines whether or not the user and the person in the identification card match on the basis of the extracted second partial image and the extracted face image; and authenticates the user as a trusted used device seller on the basis of the authenticity result of the identification card and the result of whether or not the user and the identification card match.
